Wow!
That thing looks amazing!
It's so funny and weird to read the comments.... seems like no one has heard of the Toynbee tiles, and they're all like "well, at least it's a totally novel way to spread a message".....
I do have to give them points for intuiting that it's made of floor tile, and not "some type of metal"....

Good. I'm glad those Buffalo folks are employing the newly-restored heat of the summer sun. My theory, though, is that those tiles are made of plastic, or paint...

It's so striking how similar the House of Hades tiles were to those of my dreams. Very colorful, completely new designs but obviously in the classic tradition, with very aggressive extra slogans, and, of course, in Buffalo, NY, of all damn places! Weird!!

But.......... in the realm of things relating to the Toynbee tiles...... weird is normal.... or, at least, it's "the norm."
I'd like to see whoever is making these ones spread out and take it global! I still have a fantasy of tiles appearing in Japan!

Yeah, it seems like it's its own mystery. They're obviously inspired by the Toynbee tiles.... the same person or people even (presumably) made a really good copycat Toynbee tile in Buffalo a few years ago.
As far as I know there has been no one who ever took credit for or acknowledged having a hand in making the House of Hades tiles.
They really are truly, truly incredible!
